Township Vegetable Tunnels

Spoudazo Enterprises has implemented a model for the growth of vegetables in the less fortunate communities by providing tunnel structures, training and mentoring for vegetable growing.  The aim is to empower these individuals to take responsibility for securing food provision for their households.  It teaches them to take ownership and responsibility for their own well-being.  This project also provides opportunity for the entrepreneurs amongst them, to not only be developed into responsible vegetable farmers for sustainable household purposes, but also for commercial purposes.

Get Real Programme

GetRealThumb

The main objective of the Get Real Programme is to empower underprivileged youth (ages 16 to 22), to become entrepreneurs, be trained in social economic skills, and to develop into well-balanced citizens who know how to embrace their identity, their environment and their future dreams.  The programme has three focus areas: Get Real with yourself; Get Real with life and Get Real with your dreams/your business. Interactive sessions related to these three focus areas are incorporated in the programme, facilitated by people and role models with a passion for the youth.

Elanja Children’s Initiative was founded in 1999 and has the aim to meet the daily needs of about 200 underprivileged children in Heidedal, Bloemfontein, South Africa. Their mission is working to meet the daily needs of all the children involved in the project and to let them know that they are valuable and that someone does care.

Bloemshelter

bloemshelter

Recently, Spoudazo Enterprises has included the Bloemshelter as one of our SED projects, especially after the sudden death of the beloved, Izak Botes, whose passion it was to support and equip the homeless.

The Bloemshelter is a faith-based organization that provides care and shelter for homeless men, women, and families, the elderly and other vulnerable persons.  They care for the homeless, abused and people who are being socially excluded.  Their program, Pathway to Holistic Development, provides for an exit strategy, where they facilitate participants to create their own jobs. Celebrate Recovery is one of their main pillars, providing for spiritual growth and emotional healing, addressing the hurts and habits of vulnerable people.  At the Bloemshelter, personal growth of each individual is what they strive for.
